Playing Pandemic

What you really need to know: Pandemic is one of the most fun board games I’ve played in quite some time. With that out of the way, let me explain.

Players are part of team of experts frantically trying to stop four viruses from causing a devastating pandemic (how topical). Reading between the lines, that means that Pandemic is a co-operative game. There’s no competition between you and your fellows, just a nagging feeling that even when you put your heads together, things can still go horribly wrong.

It seems a YouTube-member/TCOS-player by the name of lumay2u was pretty happy with the looks of The Chronicles of Spellborn and created a video to emphasize that opinion. Really cool to see people putting this much effort into the game as well!

Spellborn ratings

Our little game The Chronicles of Spellborn seems to be approved by the press in general. The ratings hover between 7s and 8s, and I have yet to hear anyone slating it completely (cue people pointing me towards an overly negative review). Though there are lots of comments about the game not being perfect (trust me, we feel the same pain there), the alternative combat system is seen as a good thing. Kotaku Writes About Spellborn

Seems Kotaku has an article detailing Mike Fahey’s experience with our ‘muhmorpuhger’ The Chronicles of Spellborn at the Leipzig Games Convention. Very nice (and welcome) words to read. Hearing ‘the egg’ worked will most definitely put a broad smile on the face of a certain colleague.
